Here Before - BIFFL

A taut and sophisticated psychological thriller set in Northern Ireland. A young family - who has lost their daughter - is unsettled when a new family moves in next door and who daughter starts to befriend the mother who is still grieving their loss. Things become stranger and stranger as the girl claims she has been “here before” and the woman becomes more and more paranoid.

Is there a simple explanation, is the woman becoming delusional or is the girl - possibly with the help of her family - trying to take the place of her dead daughter?

Here Before opened the 2021 Galway Film Fleadh and won the award for Best Irish Feature Film.
